Back Story
As the only child of the ruling family of her kingdom, Rei always knew that it was her duty to take the throne when the time was right. From a young age, Rei was determined to be the best ruler her kingdom had ever seen, and so she set out to study as much as possible so that she was prepared.
The only problem was, all the books she could find were about Kings and Princes.
“No problem!” She told herself. “Even as a girl I can be the best and most noble and caring Prince my Kingdom has ever seen!”
And so, Rei set out to make sure she learnt all of the proper princely skills she could. She put hours into learning sword play and fencing, so that she could protect Maidens from villains and dragons- all the books said this was a big concern for Maidens, and who was she to question it? She then set about learning the noble art of dance and music, because the books also said it was very important that a Prince could dance and sing.
Languages and strategy came next, with Rei spending all of her time in the vast palace library. She wanted to learn everything about the people she would one day rule, what their hopes and dreams were, and how they lived their lives. It was then, she realised, that she had never actually ever left the palace! What good were all her books and learning if she hadn't been able to put it into practice???
And so, with determination in her heart, and a suitcase full of books, Rei left the palace in search of subjects she could serve.
Her wanderings took her far and wide until one day she happened upon a beautiful pink and purple manor house. It was almost a palace, Rei realised, able to count at least twenty rooms just from the outside. As she came closer, she found a lady in bright, shining armour practicing her stances and swings.
“What is this place?” Rei asked, impressed by the knight's strength and skill.
“This is the Meian manor,” Hana replied, lowering her sword. “All the Meian maids live here and we serve our Goshujin-sama and Ojou-sama.”
“There are Maidens here?” Rei asked. “Unchaperoned? Why, I must move in immediately!”
And so, Rei has dedicated her life to learning how to be the best Prince she can be by serving Minna-sama and caring for all her kouhai in the Meian Manor!
