We're excited to announce our next event will be Toshocon 2020! Toshocon is an anime and gaming convention in Leeds!

Come visit our pop-up cafe for a magical experience designed to give you an exciting look into the world of Japanese Pop Culture! Our lovely Maids wear uniforms inspired by those in Akihabara, Japan's Anime & Manga district. We aim to provide a service in which you feel completely at home - relaxed, entertained and full of yummy food! Taking a customer's order is not enough - we entertain customers with dancing, magic spells & even playing games together!

Opening times & Information

10:30 - 11:45 

 Slot 1: Meian Valentines - Love is in the air! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡ Our maids will be wearing cute Valentines accessories, ready to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day with goshujin-sama and ojou-sama! 

 

12:30 - 13:45

 Slot 2: Cupid's Arrow - Our maids will be dressed as angels, ready to spread love! Due to the influx of angelic, moe energy in the Meian Manor, the Dark side maids seem different, as if they've been struck by cupid's arrow!

 

 14:45 - 16:00

 Slot 3: Sachi's Royal Birthday - Maid Sachiko believes she should obviously be treated like royalty everyday, not just her birthday. The maids will be dressed as members of Queen Sachi's court!

Please note that last entry/orders are 30 minutes before the slot closes. You are also welcome to attend as many slots as you would like but a purchase is necessary in each slot. If for some reason you are not able to attend please cancel your reservation and let us know.

Charity

This time at the request of Leeds Library, we have chosen SNAPS - Special Needs And Parent Support as our charity for Toshocon! 

SNAPS provides leisure support services for children with special needs of all kinds, and their families. Their aim is to support the entire family, by enabling the child, along with siblings, parents and other carers to participate in a shared experience of physical activity, fun and conversation in relaxed surroundings, supported by professional and dedicated staff.

Meian Maid Cafe is an event based pop-up cafe!

めいあん or 'Meian' means light and shade in Japanese. And this is the idea of our cafe - magical girls showing the two sides of cute! 

Our Light side maids can be recognised by their pink uniforms and bubbly personalities with the Dark side maids showing the cool side of cute in black uniforms. Although both sides differ our goal is to spread moe across earth! Light and the Dark together in one kawaii package! <3
